Site Map
Every Web Site should include 2 site maps. One should be in html for viewing by your site visitors and one in xml for search engine viewing.
Here are two of the more important reasons:
A Site Map allows potential customers to surf your site as they choose. Think of it has your favorite store. Some days you are in the mood to go in and walk through the store looking at every display, read every sign and look through every rack until something jumps off the shelf and screams “Take Me Home”. Other days you have one thing in mind and little time, you want to run in, get it and get out as fast as you can. Offering a site map gives your customers the option.
Search engines look for how much information you have on any given topic. The xlm Site Map tells the search engines what YOU think is important on your site. |
